MainStage FAQs

What is MainStage?
MainStage productions are held at SCCT’s Bell MainStage Theatre. MainStage performances bring wonder and excitement to the stage through our commitment to family-oriented theatre. There are six productions each year.

Where do SCCT Mainstage performances take place?
South Carolina Children’s Theatre
153 Augusta Street
Greenville, SC 29601

Are MainStage performances sold as assigned seating?
Typically, MainStage performances are sold as ‘seated’, meaning your ticket is associated with a specific seat in the theatre. Currently, due to COVID-19 social distancing mandates, all 2020-2021 MainStage Season productions will be sold as General Admission, meaning seats are not assigned. SCCT ushers will be on hand to help seat ticketholders as they arrive to ensure parties are seated together and that proper distance is kept between other, non-family parties. When it is safe for us to sit arm-to-arm once again, we will reverse this temporary policy. Thank you for your understanding.

When is the Box Office open?
Our Box Office will be opening in our new home on Tuesday, June 9! Regular hours will be Tuesday to Friday 10:00 AM-4:00 PM and one hour prior to performances on weekends. In the meantime, please call or email the Box Office at 864-235-2885.

What times are MainStage performances?
Please check the individual production page for performance times.

How much are tickets, where do I buy them and what forms of payment are accepted?
Tickets to our MainStage performances are $28 for Adults and $19 for Children or Students 18 and under. Tickets may be purchased through the Box Office (864-235-2885) or online. SCCT accepts Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Why is there a ticketing fee?
SCCT does charge a service fee on tickets to help us cover some of the costs involved. We do our best to keep this fee as low as possible. If you wish to avoid this fee, you may purchase your tickets in person at the Box Office.

Can I exchange my tickets for another performance of the same show?
SCCT does not refund tickets, but if the performance title has multiple show dates, you can exchange your ticket with a 48-hour notice prior to curtain. An $8.00 service fee will apply for the entire order.  This fee is waived for Season Subscribers (when applied to subscription performances).

What happens when I miss a performance or do not use my tickets?
All sales are final and tickets are non-refundable & non-transferable. The South Carolina Children’s Theatre is not responsible for lost/stolen tickets or missed performances. You may choose to donate the cost of the tickets and receive a tax receipt from SCCT.

May I donate my tickets?
Yes! We are happy to work with you to donate your tickets through our Outreach Program. Please contact the Box Office 864-235-2885 and we will be happy to donate your tickets.
