What is MainStage?
MainStage productions are held at SCCT’s Bell MainStage Theatre. MainStage performances bring wonder and excitement to the stage through our commitment to family-oriented theatre.

Are MainStage performances sold as assigned seating?
MainStage performances are sold as ‘seated’, meaning your ticket is associated with a specific seat in the theatre. When you purchase your ticket, you will be able to choose your preferred seating from our seating map.

When is the Box Office open?
Our Box Office will be open Tuesday – Friday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, starting on September 1st. We will reopen one hour prior to curtain for each of our performances. At this point, the Box Office will be closed on Mondays. If you need help outside of box office hours, the best way to contact us is to call or email the Box Office at 864-235-2885 ext. 103. If you wish to stop by, please use the ADMIN entrance and one of our staff will assist you.

How much are tickets, where do I buy them and what forms of payment are accepted?
You can find ticket prices for performances on the Mainstage and 2nd Stage pages! The easiest way to purchase tickets is online. For questions, contact our Box Office (864-235-2885). SCCT accepts Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Why is there a ticketing fee? 
SCCT does charge a service fee on tickets to help us cover some of the costs involved. We do our best to keep this fee as low as possible.

Can I exchange my tickets for another performance of the same show?
SCCT does not refund tickets, but if the performance title has multiple show dates, you can exchange your ticket with a 48-hour notice prior to curtain and $8 exchange fee for the entire order.

What happens when I miss a performance or do not use my tickets?
All sales are final and tickets are non-refundable & non-transferable. The South Carolina Children’s Theatre is not responsible for lost/stolen tickets or missed performances. You may choose to donate the cost of the tickets and receive a tax receipt from SCCT.

May I donate my tickets?
Yes! We are happy to work with you to donate your tickets through our Outreach Program. Please contact the Box Office 864-235-2885 and we will be happy to donate your tickets.

Are your shows appropriate for children under the age of 3 years?
While SCCT Productions are designed for family entertainment; children under 3 may not enjoy certain shows. Please note it is not recommended that infants be brought to performances. We suggest most performances for ages 3 and up (with the exception of a Wee Play production). Please contact the Box Office 864-235-2885 if you have any additional questions.

Does SCCT offer discounts on Group Sales for MainStage productions?
Yes! For groups of 10 or more we offer a 10% discount group discount. To purchase theatre tickets for a group, contact the Box Office 864-235-2885.

Are your facilities accessible to patrons with disabilities?
Yes, SCCT has accessible seating for patrons with disabilities. When purchasing tickets online, you have the ability to select an accessible seat(s) or contact the Box Office  864-235-2885 to purchase your tickets and request an accessible seat(s).

Hearing Loops Information
SCCT has installed a hearing loop system which significantly improves the experience of audience members who are hearing impaired! A Hearing loop removes background noise, echo and reverberation, and creates a clear sound directly to the ear through a user’s existing hearing aids. To request a loop, visit the Box Office upon arrival to the theatre.

Do infants have to have a ticket? 
We recommend that children under the age of 3 do not attend our performances, however everyone attending a performance must have a ticket. You must have a ticket to enter the theatre.  

What if I lost my ticket? 
Do not worry! Please bring your photo ID and SCCT can print you a new ticket 30 minutes before show time or during our box office hours.

Can we bring a stroller into the theatre?
Yes, you may. Once you arrive at SCCT, an usher will guide you to the designated stroller parking in our lobby. Strollers and car carriers are not allowed inside the theatre.

Are cameras or video cameras allowed in the theatre?
Photos are welcomed prior to the start of the show. Feel free to snap a picture in the theatre with your playbill! Once the show begins, the taking of photographs and videos is strictly prohibited. Pictures can be taken in the lobby before and afterwards.

Do children perform in your productions? 
We cast our shows age appropriately, so children are a big part of our productions.
