Scholarships

SCCT offers classes year-round for students ages 3-18. The format includes Advanced-Level Studios, Intermediate, Process, Musical Theatre, Story Drama and Exploration Classes, as well as Specialty Classes & Workshops.  Each format offers unique games, activities and challenges for the theatre student.

SCCT has need-based scholarships available for all of our classes, camps and workshops for under-resourced, disadvantaged or special needs youth (we base our scale on the free-and-reduced-lunch requirements established by the school system). They are financially supported by the generous donations from community members, businesses and corporations. A scholarship application must be submitted. If you have students you would like to recommend, please encourage them to apply!

Scholarships are generously funded in part by Kiwanis Club of Greenville, Robert B. and Ruth K. Lee Foundation, and the Metropolitan Arts Council which receives funding from the City of Greenville, SEW-Eurodrive, BMW Manufacturing Company, LLC, and the South Carolina Arts Commission with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

“Participation in the South Carolina Children’s Theatre classes is an ideal vehicle to help build a child’s self-esteem, self-discovery, make new friends and increase communication skills. Thank you for providing a scholarship program!”
