SUMMER CAMPS start June 10th – Register NOW!
We have offerings every week (mornings and afternoons) for K3-5th grade, and every week (morning OR afternoons – sometimes both) for older students. Also, 10-week late afternoon weekly session-style classes for all ages will be offered along with some Monday – Thursday evening Specialty Camps.
Find What’s Right for your Child
Summer Time is the perfect time to explore one of our Theatre Camps OR take a regular once-a-week session of Exploration or Process classes that meet each week throughout the summer. Camps are one-week, partial-day camps (divided by age or rising grade level= the grade your child will be in for the coming academic year). One-week camps fit nicely into busy summer schedules and provide an appropriate amount of class time per day pending grade level. You can even pair up a morning and an afternoon session (send a lunch) to cover activities for the full day—better than a babysitter! All theatre training allows for a range of experience levels within the same camp, so beginners will feel right at home while experienced actors are challenged. Most of our summer camps have themes, but basic acting skills will be incorporated into all of them.
Our camps tend to sell-out so don’t delay in enrolling in the ones that you like.
You will receive a confirmation email when we receive your enrollment—and a reminder email the week before your camp starts—please pay close attention to the details of your camp. Needs vary from camp to camp, based on theme or length.
Change of plans? No Problem! TUITION REFUNDS (less a $30 non-refundable cancellation fee) will be given only with written notification of withdrawal at least 10 days prior to your camp’s start date. No refunds will be made after your camp begins. If summer plans change at the last minute, we will gladly switch you to another camp if space is available.
WAITING LISTS We do keep a waiting list on all camps that fill and if enough people are on it, we will try to add another session of the camp. Please always let us know that you are interested in the camp even if you see it has already sold-out – [email protected]
SNACK– All camps (except the 3-5 year old camps) will take a snack break. WE DO NOT HAVE ANY VENDING MACHINES ON PROPERTY. Snack bags & Water bottles LABELED with your child’s name are required. Please be aware that many children have very serious nut allergies and can be affected if they breathe near children eating nut-based food or touch the hand of a child who has touched nuts. Please avoid sending food that has nuts of any kind in it.
LUNCH There are tables in the lobby available for students who are taking a morning and an afternoon camp. Students are welcome to stay and have lunch (refrigerator available, but not a microwave) and read a book, or play a game until their next class starts—please notify Jill if your child will opt to eat here so we can alert the class assistants to keep an eye on them. If you are taking camps that are back-to-back, the teachers for the after lunch camps will be alerted that your child will eat a quick lunch in our lobby and come to camp a few minutes late.
CLOTHING Students should dress comfortably – dresses are not recommended. Many of the younger camps (except Musical Theatre), the students will remove their shoes for the carpeted class spaces. Older campers and all musical theatre students should wear shoes that remain securely on their feet—NO FLIP-FLOPS PLEASE!
ABSENCES Students should plan to attend the entire week of camp. If you know in advance that a student will be absent, notify the teacher at the first camp meeting. If you will miss the first day, please notify [email protected]. Because each class builds on skills and activities from the previous day, absences affect preparation for the Sharing on Friday and may affect a student’s participation. There are no refunds or make-up classes for missed days.
SPECIAL NEEDS Please be sure to discuss with the teacher on the first day any medical conditions, allergies (especially food allergies), learning/processing issues or special needs that were listed on your Release form. Open communication with families helps us create a successful environment for every student.
OBSERVATION POLICY Parents are invited to observe at the sharing/observation on Friday. Other than that and during the first day orientation tour, parents do not accompany students into the classrooms. The best way to handle any separation anxiety on the first day is with a quick but loving goodbye from the parent.
Extended stay (8:30-9:30am or 4:15-5:30pm) is also available for an additional fee ($25 per week for either option) —please notify Jill concerning your specific needs AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE OF YOUR CAMP – we cannot accommodate requests made the week-end before.
We also plan to offer preschool camps the last 2 weeks of August – after Greenville County schools start back, but perhaps before preschools get underway. Check back in late July for late August options!
