All camps for ages 3-5 channel your child’s endless creative energy into directed dramatic play! Games, stories, music and poetry inspire character exploration, teamwork and imagination. Our low-pressure class environment will ease your child into comfortably being in front of people and expressing ideas to a group. Each theme will present different sources for inspiration, but all will include a variety of activities to keep students engaged and working together. Games, activities and songs will be based on the camp theme while exploring group problem solving, being seen and heard in front of an audience, areas of the stage, and character development.

All students must be able to use the bathroom completely by themselves as needed. SCCT Teachers/Assistants will not change diapers.

End of Summer Exploration Camps
August 16-20 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Mia Phillips or Lauren Wilson | $100
August 23-27 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Mia Phillips or Lauren Wilson | $100

Need a fun place to spend a part day? Come play with us (especially if Mom or Dad need to go to work and older siblings have started school).  Games and activities are designed to keep students engaged and entertained with exercises and activities used in our regular session classes exploring group problem solving, being seen and heard in front of an audience, areas of the stage, character development, etc.  These classes are meant to engage the child in a group environment, as well as to allow the parent some guilt free time to get their own work/appointments done. These classes are more general and aren’t themed per day, but will allow for a range of ages/interests and may also include craft time. Designed to keep excited kids active and having fun the week before preschools get underway. There will be no “sharing” for parents, just a bunch of socialization, exploration and interaction for the younger set.

End-of-session camp “sharings”

We will record the end-of-session “sharing” and send parent’s the video link. Our “sharings” are informal performances. Our goal is to engage the students in preparing for the low-pressure performance, without causing undo anxiety and also not spending every minute of class time solely repeating rehearsals. The “sharings” will not be highly polished and will be very low tech as our primary goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable class experience, filled with group interaction and fun.
