A GREAT class if working behind the scenes on a show might appeal to you or you have a passion for visual arts! A designer is the ultimate collaborator – taking the needs of the script, the concept of the director, the limits of the budget or schedule and STILL creating an imaginative world for the play. In addition, students will have the opportunity of helping with scenic painting, building props, on top of learning about programming on a light board and designing sets, lights, and sounds for a show.REGISTER & INFO

Come to SCCT and play with us! Games and activities are designed to keep students engaged and entertained with exercises and activities used in our regular session classes exploring group problem solving, being seen and heard in front of an audience, areas of the stage, and character development, etc. These classes are meant to engage the child in a group environment but are also to allow the parent some guilt free time to get their own work/appointments or shopping 😉 done. These classes are more general and aren’t themed per day but will allow for a range of ages/interests and may also include craft time. Designed to keep excited kids active and having fun the week between school and big holidays. There will be no “sharing” recording for parents, just a bunch of socialization, interaction and fun for the younger set.REGISTER & INFO

As the class is offered free-of-charge, only students willing to commit to fairly consistent attendance should sign-up for an orientation/possible slot in the class. We call it AA (because no one can give you grief for going to an AA meeting) and it meets on Sunday evenings pending parking lot availability in the 6-8:30pm range. ** CHILD CARE IS NOT OFFERED DURING ADULT ACTING CLASSES and children may not sit in the building without adult supervision. **Mandatory Orientation – Sunday, August 25 from 5:00-6:15pm TO SIGN UP FOR A SLOT AT THE ORIENTATION – please email betsy@scchildrenstheatre.orgYour Name, Email address, Best Phone # and the reason you want to take the class.
