Weekday School Performances

Each season, SCCT offers field trip opportunities to attend various titles on the Bell MainStage and Younts 2nd Stage, located at 153 Augusta Street, across from Gather GVL.

Cost: $10 per person– all students, teachers, chaperones, bus drivers wishing to watch the performance need a ticket.

WEE PLAY THEATRE is offering fantastic, interactive fun for the very young. Join Brother and Sister Bear and experience a full year of glorious seasons. Watch a waterfall melt, meet a butterfly, chase a fish, and skate on an ice pond. Children get to join the action with a basket of props that help create magical moments.

When: November 3rd & 5th (9:30 am & 11:00 am)

Age Recommendation: 18 months-5 years
Length: 35-40 minutes


Audiences of all ages love Spookley. What’s not to love? He’s a square pumpkin in a round pumpkin world. He has hilarious spider friends, Edgar, Allan, and Poe. He’s the star of a popular book series and famous animated feature. Maybe that’s why SPOOKLEY THE SQUARE PUMPKIN: THE MUSICAL is on its way to becoming a family tradition itself. Does Spookley have what it takes to be the Pick of the Patch? Will he realize being different makes him special? Sing along as you find out, and enjoy one of the best Halloween musicals you will see for a long time!

HOLIDAY SHENANIGANS WITH JEF! features variety artist, Jef Lambdin, who uses miming, juggling, and clowning to introduce children to the dramatic arts. His show at SCCT will include audience participation, eye-catching tricks, festive sing-a-longs, and countless silly shenanigans to get students and families in the holiday spirit.

Grade Recommendation: K3 and up

Put the Medieval imagery away and reimagine the Prince of Thieves in more modern times. Robin Hood fights for justice and equality in a whole new take on this timeless classic you won’t want to miss. You’ll laugh along to the Sheriff of Nottingham as his bumbling soldiers fail to match Robin’s quickness and wit. You’ll cheer for his merry men. You’ll fall for Maid Marian. Most of all, you’ll love this hilarious and wry retelling of a new kind of hero for young audiences.

When mom’s away, the cat will play! Anyone who’s ever enjoyed DR. SEUSS’S THE CAT IN THE HAT will want to run fast as a fox with a big red box to this lively performance. Chaos and order collide when the famous cat in the red-and-white-striped hat turns a rainy day into an unforgettable adventure.
