SCCT Welcomes Two New Team Members

South Carolina Children’s Theatre (SCCT) is thrilled to announce the addition of two remarkable individuals to our team: Kelley Barnhardt and Lauren French. Both bring a wealth of experience, a deep passion for theatre, and a shared commitment to SCCT’s mission of empowering and inspiring a new generation of changemakers.
Kelley Barnhardt joins SCCT as the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, a newly created position that highlights SCCT’s commitment to growth and community impact. Kelley officially joined the team on Monday, January 13, 2025, bringing with her a proven track record of leadership and creativity in the arts sector. In her role, Kelley will oversee SCCT’s Marketing and Development departments, drive revenue growth, and contribute to the organization’s strategic plan focused on expanding its impact within Greenville and beyond.
Kelley comes to SCCT from Artisphere, where she served as Communications Strategist since 2020. Her strong connections to Greenville’s arts community and her passion for transformative art make her a tremendous asset to SCCT. Kelley holds a degree in English and Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s in English and Secondary Education from Appalachian State University.
Lauren French joins SCCT as the School & Community Engagement Coordinator, a role focused on fostering meaningful connections between SCCT and the community. With a background in arts education and a deep appreciation for the craft of storytelling, Lauren will be instrumental in shaping SCCT’s programming and building relationships with families and schools. Her innovative approach and dedication to empowering young voices align perfectly with SCCT’s vision.

We are thrilled to welcome them to the SCCT team.”
As SCCT continues to expand its programs and deepen its roots in the community, the addition of Kelley and Lauren marks an exciting step forward. Their unique talents and dedication to fostering creativity and empathy in young people will undoubtedly help SCCT achieve new milestones in the years to come.
